Connor Stangler

Business and Community Outreach

Connor is a native Missourian but has called Lenexa and Kansas his home since 2021. He graduated from Truman State University with a BA in history, from the University of Chicago with an MA in history, and from Indiana University-Bloomington with a PhD in the history of anti-poverty policy. He explores the entire KC metro area with his wife, Kathleen, and their two young children. Professionally, he is the Manager of Government Relations at Children’s Mercy Hospital-Kansas City. Prior to joining Children’s Mercy, Connor worked as a nonpartisan staffer for the Kansas Legislature, specializing in health policy. He has also served as an adjunct instructor in history and political science at various colleges in Kansas and Indiana. He believes shared history is a community’s greatest source of fellowship, pride, and hope for the future.
