For decades, Beryl Legler Hennigh (1922 – 2019) was a key ingredient in all things Lenexa. She was a champion of education, community building, civic activities and the preservation of our history.
Committed Lenexans who share and exemplify those values deserve recognition. With Beryl as our inspiration, LHS is launching the “Beryl Hennigh Legacy Award” fundraising effort. The award will honor citizens, employees, students, civic leaders and businesses who share Beryl’s vision and demonstrate a passion for excellence.
Just as Beryl worked with others to establish and enhance the Historical Society, the legacy award is an ongoing effort to raise project funds to sustain the values she lived by.
Inductees may be individuals (past or present) or organizations who have made a positive impact on Lenexa, Johnson County, the Kansas City Metro Area or the State of Kansas.
To honor a person, organization and businesses, a minimum tax exempt donation of $500 is required. In Kind donations maybe accepted. Donations may be made as a lump sum or in monthly installments
