Community Days Parade 2020
While the usual Community Days Parade can’t go on this year, our city came up with the next best thing – the Lenexa Community Days Porch Parade! That’s right, they’ve done a little switcheroo, and now we stay still while you drive around to see our decorated establishments.
The City of Lenexa set up an interactive map on their website HERE (Map will be updated starting July 1st) that shows what organizations are participating so that you can create a self-guided tour to see all the deocrations and show love to your local organizations. As you can guess, LHS is a part of the Porch Parade, so come by and check us out at the Legler Barn!
This event will run from July 1st, 2020 to July 4th, 2020. The theme this year is There’s No Place Like Home. We don’t have to worry about crowds, and you get to safely get out of the house for a drive – it’s a win-in!

Hy-Vee Reusable Red Bag Program
The Lenexa Historical Society is ecstatic and honored to be a donation recipient of the July 2020 Hy-Vee Reusable Red Bag Program.
Every Red Bag comes with an attached Giving Tag, which generates a $1.00 donation to LHS. Bags are available at Hy-Vee on 87th Street for $2.50 each.
By purchasing these bags during the month of July, you will not only help offset some of our canceled fundraising events, but you will be helping our environment by reducing waste. Win-Win!
